Junior Project Engineer (Contract)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to and assisting Project Manager in managing whole project cycle.
  • Review and process engineering deliverables, vendor/procurement activities and manpower requirements for approval of Project Manager.
  • Responsible for the implementation of the project execution plan, the monitoring and control of the project schedule and coordination with multiple disciplines, vendors and third parties.
  • Produce report and minutes of meeting.
  • Willing to travel or dispatch to site for construction activities coordination, pre-commissioning and commissioning work.

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or similar Engineering discipline.
  • Fresh graduate with academic achievement of CGPA 3.5 and above is required.
  • Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office application, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Able to work in team and possess excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
  • Good command in English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written)

Expeditor (Permanent)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interface with Vendor and perform expediting functions to better deliveries and resolve material discrepancies.
  • Review purchase orders for expediting requirements, review vendor’s reports to clarify misunderstandings, informs superiors of delivery status.
  • Communicate with vendors to monitor latest status by desk expediting (i.e. e-mail, telephone) and by shop visit.
  • Shop visit or superintend shop visit expediters dispatched from Expediting Agency, if required (for overseas vendors)
  • Keep the contractual delivery date of the Materials and to prevent delays by executing the following task
    ・ Obtain and review vendor’s monthly progress report carefully.
    ・ Monitor submission status of vendor’s information as per Vendor Documents Master Schedule (VDMS) and remind vendor for timely submission, if necessary.
    ・ Monitor problems and signs of troubles found in vendor’s progress report, in expediter’s report and/or during the shop visit and then communicate those to procurement manager .
    ・ Notice vendor’s requests stated in vendor’s progress report and to inform procurement manager for actions.
    ・ Considering the latest performance of the vendor, propose additional dispatching expediters from Global Toyo’s regional offices or if required, from an Expediting Agency.
    ・ Receive and read through inspector’s report to comprehend the status and obstacles in inspection stage.
    ・ Request for Inspection witness to QA/QC Department for FAT witness upon notification by vendor.
    ・ Co-ordinates with vendor, logistic department and site/warehouse personnel for actual delivery of materials and to confirm material deliveries are achieved in accordance with established schedules.
    ・ Works with site/warehouse, buyers and vendors to correct deficiencies, shortages, unacceptable substitutions and other problems.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Admin or any Engineering discipline or Diploma with relevant working experience.
  • 2 years working experience in the same field, preferably in Oil & Gas industry.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Project & Office, Primavera, etc.

Layout & Piping Engineer (Contract)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish standard and concept for the work to comply with job requirement.
  • Responsible in pipe routing and equipment layout planning study.
  • Responsible in engineering design works such as plot plan, key plan, Underground and Aboveground piping arrangement, construction isometric and pipe support detail drawing, field fabrication part, etc.
  • Responsible to review information drawings such as civil information, nozzle orientation, vessel clip, instrument component information and process information (piping isometric for calculation of hydraulic delta-p, etc.)
  • Review all internal design check (IDC) documents from all disciplines.
  • Preparation of BOM/BOQ for material requisition, cost estimation and construction work volume estimation.
  • Participate in the studies of ITB, compilation of proposal, and Bid tabulation.
  • Provide technical specification for material procurement and ensure the materials are purchased within budget, timely, and meeting the technical requirement.
  • Coordination work with Civil & Structural, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electrical, and Fire & Gas interfacing with regard to layout and piping design.
  • Liaise with clients and vendors for technical issues.
  • Responsible in planning, scheduling, quality control of designated project to ensure that objective of the project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and budget.
  • Assist construction and commissioning activities (Field/Site works).

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least Degree in Mechanical or Material Engineering, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of piping design experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical industries.
  • Familiar with international codes and standard (especially ASME31.3, ASME, API, PTS, SHELL DEP, etc.)
  • Good knowledge in preparation of engineering specifications and Job instructions for piping designs, insulation, painting etc.
  • Good knowledge in Plant Layout Planning and Detailed Piping Design in view of Construction, Process Flow Scheme, Machinery Operation etc.
  • Familiar with coordination work with Civil & Structural, Mechanical, Instrumentation and Electrical interfacing with regard to layout and piping design.
  • Able to carry out site survey in order to gain required information and/or verification of existing plant documentation.
  • Having previous experience in Greenfield, Brownfield and plant modification projects.
  • Able to work in team and possess excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
  • Well verse with CAESAR II and AUTOCAD software.
  • Experience in 3D CAD software such as S3D / PDS / CADWORX / PDMS / E3D would be added advantage.
  • PC literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project as a minimum).
  • Good command in English (spoken and written).

Construction Planning Engineer (Permanent)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation
    – Review the ITB and determines the project/proposal requirements
    – Estimate the Construction Cost (Direct & Sub-con cost)
    – Estimate TOYO-M Field Expenses (Indirect cost)
  • Planning & Monitoring
    – Construction Planning – Compile work volume and finalize work breakdown structure, prepare construction schedule and estimate projected man-hours
    – Construction Planning details
    – Construction Execution
    – Construction Progress and Monitoring – handle daily task monitoring by referring to weekly schedule
    – Construction close-out
  • Sub-contracting – issuance of ITB and Bid Evaluation, conduct pre-award meeting and final technical and commercial clarification and handling subcontracting close out
  • Work Quality standards – maintain quality control by utilizing the standard in house tools and format.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess a relevant Engineering Degree
  • At least 5 years of working experience in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industries or equivalent
  • Experience in Project Engineering, Preparation of Inquiry Documents, Commercial/Technical Bid Evaluation, MTO, Cost Estimation and Inter-discipline coordination is an advantage
  • Able to understand Construction Drawing & Specification (for various discipline eg. Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrument)
  • Able to Take-off work volume from Construction Drawing and prepare the necessary write-up

Instrument Engineer (Contract)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivering instrument engineering design work efficiently and in a timely manner during proposal and project delivery stage.
  • Preparation of instrument datasheet, instrument list, I/O list.
  • Preparation of instrument sizing for flow element and valves.
  • Familiar with IPF methodology and implementation.
  • Control system such as DCS (Honeywell), ESD PLC, mechanical equipment package control system PLC and relay base system.
  • Preparation of loop drawings, interlock logic diagram.
  • Preparation of cable schedule, cable connection list, junction box schedule, etc.
  • Preparation of typical installation drawing, instrumentation hook-up drawings.
  • Preparation of construction drawings such as instrument plot plan, wiring layout, etc.
  • Preparation of Material Take-off for installations.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess at least a Degree in Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering background.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience with at least 5 years of engineering design experience in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industries.
  • Experienced in handling rejuvenation and revamp project.
  • Familiar with international codes and standard (especially IEC, ISA, etc.)
  • Able to carry out site survey in order to gain required information and/or verification of existing plant documentation.
  • Experienced in Instrument installation or commissioning.
  • Knowledge with SPI INTOOLS software.
  • Good command in Malay and English (spoken and written)

Process Engineer (Contract)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Involve in various engineering stage such as Feasibility Study, Basic Engineering Design and Detail Engineering.
  • Preparation Process Drawings such as Process Flow Scheme, Piping & Instrumentation Diagram, Equipment data sheet, Instrument data sheet and other deliverables
  • Interface with other internal disciplines such as Mechanical, Piping, Instrument.
  • Liaise with clients and vendors for technical issues and to define project scope.
  • Planning, scheduling, quality control of designated project.
  • Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Able to resolve technical issues.
  • Accountable for success completion of assigned engineering tasks.
  • Assist Team Manager and responsible for Process Team Development and staff training.
  • Responsible to produce work instructions and guidelines to the team.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least Degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Min. 5 years of process engineering/design experience with ENGINEERING COMPANY in Oil & Gas industries.
  • Familiar with international codes and standard (especially API, PTS (PETRONAS Technical Standard), SHELL DEP, etc.) related to refinery industries.
  • Having previous experience in Greenfield, Brownfield and plant modification projects.
  • Able to work in team and possess excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and writing skills.
  • Experiences in process simulation (PRO II & HYSYS), flare network simulation (FLARENET), gas radiation (FLARESIM), Heat Exchanger sizing and rating etc.
