Established in September 2006 as a wholly owned entity of the Government of Sultanate of Oman (GOSO), Oman Drydock Company SAOC (ODC) truly embodies the spirit of a nation that stands tall amongs the strong economies in the region. ODC has been established under the master plan of Duqm area that is being propelled by the GOSO with the aim of diversification of industry structure and regionally balanced growth in Oman. Department Head – Information Technology

Job Purpose: To develop Oman Drydock Company’s (ODC) information technology (IT) strategy and plans and direct related processes, projects and initiatives in order to ensure the strategic and operational technology needs of ODC are identified, developed and implemented and meet short term objectives and long term goals while maintaining appropriate cost structures.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or management information systems or an equivalent qualification.
Preferably MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification from an internationally recognised business school.

Minimum Experience
12 years experience in information technology, including at least 5 years in positions involving managerial or supervisory responsibilities.
Experience in the ship building/repair or related industry is an advantage.

Department Head- Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC)

Job Purpose: To oversee and manage all the quality control and quality assurance activities, documentations and inspections in ODC Facilities. Provide guidance and direction to the team and ensure effective training and development of department personnel in order to ensure that all the types of ODC Projects (ship repairs, conversion, new building, industrial etc.) are managed to ensure compliance as per quality standards of ODC, Classification Rules and Project Specific ones. Manage and ensure compliance of ODC with applicable ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) standards.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in any Engineering field.

Minimum Experience
12 years of relevant experience in QA/QC activities in repair ship yard or new shipbuilding or similar work, including at least 5 years in positions of managerial or supervisory responsibilities.
