Commissioning Manager

Location: Kuwait

Key Accountabilities

Performance indicators

·        Acts as a functional head of Commissioning with overall responsibility for commercial and technical performance, ensuring quality standards and application of established procedures.      

  • Objectives of the functional area are met.
  • Commercial and technical standards are met.
  • Effective departmental management role recognized.

·        Develops and seeks approval for annual manpower and resources budget, and monitors performance to ensure activities are appropriately supported and within approved levels.      

  • Accurate information submitted for budget compilation.
  • Functional area operates within budget.

·        Develops and gains approval for Quality Management procedures to guide and direct the achievement of Commissioning objectives.

·        Recommendations are adopted.

·        Procedures result in benefits.

·        Coordinates tender inputs and approve manpower estimates developed by subordinate engineers.

·        Effective co-ordination of bid inputs.

·        Estimates prove accurate during contract execution.

Skills, Knowledge, qualifications & Experience

·        B.Sc. in Engineering.

·        15 years of experience within the oil and gas industry with at least 5 years in the Management of Commissioning and Start-up.

Senior Planning Engineer

Location: India

TOTAL EXPERIENCE (IN OIL & GAS DESIGN INDUSTRY): 8-12 years

SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE: MS-Project/Primavera

COMPETENCIES (EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE):

  • B.E./B.Tech – Full time from recognized institute
  • 8 to 12 years’ experience in design and engineering in Oil and Gas Industry
  • Should have served as a Sr. Planning Engineer preferably on Offshore Projects
  • Very Good knowledge & exposure on Project Planning techniques and planning software’s like Ms-Project & Primavera P6.
  • Good working Knowledge of major software’s related to data handling & planning systems like Ms-Access & Ms-Excel.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good Presentation Skill
  • Understanding of all Engineering disciplines
  • Good Planning & Organizing Skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand work scope, quantity and familiar with logical sequences in terms of engineering, procurement and construction disciplines.
  • Understand Project WBS structure, and work with management and project team in the development of work break down structure for progress measurement, scheduling, cost estimating and project control purpose.
  • Prepare and manage overall master schedule integrating work breakdown structure using scheduling software.
  • Coordinate project schedule from all disciplines and incorporate the information gathered into the overall project master schedule.
  • Able to utilize planning tools such as MS excel, Access, MS Project, and Primavera.
  • Develop and implement plan versus actual progress charts (histograms/S curves). Reports and analyses deviations from plan to Project Manager.
  • Track, monitor and forecast progress of all activities and deliverable such as products, engineering documents and fabrication status of all discipline.
  • Analyse gaps between the planned and actual progress and highlight the areas of concern which required action of the associate task member.
  • Prepare and update three weeks and three months look-ahead schedule that reflect the priority activities
  • Participate in all meetings (i.e. Schedule review meeting, progress review meeting, coordination meeting etc.).
  • Verifies critical path and interfaces between design/ engineering/ procurement / execution
  • Monitors progress periodically and compares it with the baseline planning
  • Prepare and check the weekly & monthly Progress reports.
  • Prepare & issue Specialized Daily Reports based on Project Requirements from time to time.

Project Engineering Manager

Location: India

TOTAL EXPERIENCE (IN OIL & GAS DESIGN INDUSTRY): 20-30 years

SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE: MS-Project/Primavera

COMPETENCIES (EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE):

  • B.E./B.Tech – Any Engineering Stream
  • 20-30 years experience in design and engineering in Oil and Gas Industry
  • 10-15 years experience in offshore oil & gas design engineering projects.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven supervisory track record and management potential
  • Understanding of all Engineering disciplines
  • Basic Knowledge of Engineering software
  • Good Planning & Organizing Skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To manage the execution of engineering services required during bidding, design & engineering stage or internal engineering activities
  • To satisfy Client’s requirements in delivery of project engineering.
  • To ensure that all work performed is in accordance with company policies and standards and to ensure adherence to HSE and WMS requirements at all times.
  • To deliver engineering services within budget and on time, and in accordance with Client’s specifications and the defined scope of work.
  • To identify resources required for delivery of engineering and to manage the execution of the project work.
  • To report to MD/CEO on the progress of the work. To identify requirements for sub-contracting of engineering services during Tender stage using a risk based approach of resources, expertise or schedule impact
  • To manage the technical execution of engineering sub-contracts.
  • Prepare engineering input to tenders in accordance with the tender plan and which encompasses all those aspects of project execution that are applicable to tendering activities (resource management, sub-contracting, reporting etc.)
  • Identify resource requirements to Heads of Disciplines (HOD’s). Agree with HOD’s the manpower planning for the project.
  • Prepare the Engineering execution plan (internal) for a project and the Design Verification Plan for engineering, including the scope of work and specifications, the detailed engineering schedule, manpower plan, and budgeted man-hours for each engineering discipline.
  • Execute the project in accordance with the Engineering execution plan and Design Verification Plans, Engineering Management requirements Approve engineering and drafting man-hours booked to his projects.
  • Initiate the sub-contracts required and manage those contracts to maintain schedule and budget. Agree with HOD’s the requirements for managing technical integrity of work delivered by sub-contractors.
  • Provide weekly reports on the performance of projects that includes man-hour expenditure and schedule compliance (planned, actual and forecast), measured progress and any impediments to progress, together with any items of particular note regarding safety, quality or environmental matters.
  • Provide reports as required by HODS/CEO/MD.
  • Participate in the management of the Engineering Section by performing specific non-project tasks and duties as may be requested by the CEO.
  • Participate in business development and Client’s meetings when requested.
  • Encourage and facilitates team building.
