Driller

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Perform geotechnical and open hole (deep water well, recharge/injection wells, deep monitoring wells, soak away and earthing boreholes using DTH and rotary methods, well Installation and well completion, grouting and all associated works) drilling works at onshore and nearshore/marine sites.
  • Assist Geologist in digging trial pits and utility inspection pits, in soil and rock core logging and sampling works and support Laboratory Technician in performing in-situ field tests in boreholes and trial pits.
  • Housekeeping at drilling sites on completion of field works.
  • Attend drilling rig and compressor repairing for any minor breakdowns and equipment routine maintenance works.

Responsibilities:

  • Drilling open boreholes by DTH or mud drilling.
  • Collection of samples, well casing installation and well completion.
  • Earthing rod installation and well back filling works.
  • Operate equipment such as rotary drilling and/or cable percussion drilling equipment to drill boreholes to the required depth and diameter.
  • Obtain soil and rock core samples.
  • Obtain groundwater samples.
  • Undertake in-situ borehole tests.
  • Maintain daily driller’s logs.
  • Perform in-situ field tests.
  • Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with the Company’s established policies and procedures regarding quality, health, safety and environment.
  • Ensure that continual safety vigilance and awareness is reinforced to all subordinates and all work is performed to the highest standards of safety.
  • Maintains good housekeeping in his workplace.
  • Be focused on the needs of the customer / client and strive to exceed their expectations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Matriculation
  • Fluent in English Language
  • Capable of performing light cable percussion drilling, rotary coring and open hole drilling using DTH and tricon

SKILLS DESIRED:

  • Borehole sampling and core logging to BS 5930.
  • Trial pit sampling, photography, etc.
  • Perform in-situ tests (SPTs, falling head and packer permeability tests, pressure meter, and other geotechnical field tests)

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

At least 5 years of experience in deep well drilling works

Job Purpose:

Responsible for general administration, typing, co-ordination of travel arrangements and other administration related activities. In-charge on Petty Cash & purchase requisitions.

TECHNICIAN – SENIOR

Job Purpose:

Responsible for repair and servicing of vehicle performing wheel alignment, balancing  of tire replacement to ensure customer satisfaction.

Major Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Mechanical Repairs:

  • Responsible for diagnoses of tires, wheel alignment and balancing issue to ensure that the vehicle run properly.

Administration:

  • Clock in & clock out on the Repair order.
  • Make Quotations and a list of parts needed for the repair and servicing of the mechanical / Suspension and other related  mechanical repairs.
  • Prepare daily report of completed and outstanding work to the supervisor.

ADVISOR – SERVICE

Job Purpose:

To cope up with the customers reporting to the Reception for service repairs.

Job Scope:

  • Receive customer vehicle, Consult with customers to discover their needs .
  • Maintains good relationships with customers by meeting and exceeding their expectations, Diagnose / identity technical problem.
  • Document the job operation on the reception sheet , create a service Repair Order , submit estimate to customer , if required,   follow-up on repairs status of vehicle and  inform customers accordingly.
  • Calculates charges for all pars , labor , and service repairs  and/or ensure the accuracy of the charges, Ensure a high standard regarding  personal presentation and presentation of the retail facility in the service  reception area at all  times.
  • Generate additional business by  gaining  trust and confidence of the customer.
  • Calms dissatisfied customers, resolves complaints with sensitivity, and involves others when needed.
  • Ensures that all health and safety legislation and internal procedures are followed.
  • Attends regular safety meeting to review work safety rules.
  • Preforms other reasonable activities from time to  time.
  • From A-Z  receiving upto to delivering the vehicles to the customers.

  • Responsible to answers customers  questions regarding technical problems  with their vehicle , warranties , services , and repairs in a manner that is easily understood and does not use excessive technical jargon.
  • Conducts proactive discussions with customers  to identify and or prevent potential Initiates job documentation and maintain customers records and follow-up systems.
  • Receives and registers payments for work carried.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

SKILLS DESIRED:

Technical skills on the Repairs of Auto. Should be a good listener to customer. Should be polite and should have convincing skill to gain customer confidence to facility the repairs of customer vehicles. Product knowledge.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

Minimum of 4-5 Years of experience working in the auto industry.
