Physician Informatics Officer

Educational Requirements:

  • MBBS/ MD or MBChB

POSITION SUMMARY:

Implementation

  • Lead the clinical transformation for physicians in various specialties with the new Electronic Medical Records or other clinical system implementations.
  • Cerner EMR implementation experience and use is an advantage and preference.
  • Develop specifications for each specialty that will support the design and successful implementation for physician adoption.
  • Manage and support physicians training and adoption with electronic documentation and adoption of CPOE and workflows proposed.
  • Manage and implement clinical order sets for various specialty.
  • Lead the design and implementation of downtime processes and policy.
  • Participate in the AHD/Cerner Artificial Intelligence Lab and research platform which would include population health, cost reduction analysis, automation of physician documentation, improving physician experience and reducing readmission rates.

Operational and Support Management

  • Responsible for Clinical Transformation and  provides end-user support and helpdesk support, troubleshooting workflow or technology issues related to clinical system use particularly with physicians.
  • Manage clinical workflow and process changes to ensure physician adoption and optimization of new or modified clinical information systems.
  • Provide writing and documentation support to capture clinical workflows and reporting requirements.
  • Functions as a liaison between Physicians, IT technical team and other departments as required facilitating clear communication and requirements.
