Manager, Business Excellence

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Drive business and operational excellence in Daman by managing the development, enhancement as well as overseeing the implementation of all Business Processes, the alignment of Daman to all required standards to ensure achievement and retention of certifications, accreditations and Excellence Awards, and managing all aspects of Knowledge Management within Daman.

Main Duties:

Oversee and manage all Business Process Management activities in Daman, including:

Set the framework, standards, guidelines and methodologies related to business process definition, design, documentation and enhancement in line with overall strategy
Define and control Daman’s process hierarchy / process model
Manage and administer Daman’s Business Process Management System (BPMS), including defining business requirements and overseeing implementation and maintenance of tools and databases
Train business unit stakeholders in Daman’s BPM standards and methodologies
Oversee and controlling changes to Daman’s process architecture and designs
Work with key stakeholders to control and maintain alignment between Daman’s process architecture and other enabling architectures (e.g. technology architecture, organisational architecture)
Oversee and carry out current-state process assessments, and redesign future-state processes to ensure continuous improvement of Daman operations
Report business process status, maturity, performance and enhancements to Daman leadership
Oversee all standards, certifications, accreditations and Excellence awards across Daman, including:

Work with Strategy & Planning, Daman’s organisational and departmental leadership to determine and agree the standards, certifications, accreditations and awards to be pursued and implemented across the company in line with overall strategy
Oversee and coordinate selection, preparation and implementation of standards, certifications and accreditations by Business Units
Audit Business Unit and organisational adherence to implemented standards to identify gaps and areas of improvement
Work with stakeholders to address and close gaps and implement improvements
Drive and continually improve knowledge management across Daman, including:

Work with Daman’s leadership to define, agree and implement a Knowledge Management plan covering all knowledge sources and assets
Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain and continually enhance knowledge assets, including the intranet, website, FAQs, Knowledge Bases, wikis, etc.
Define, oversee and manage archival and records management activities
Maintain and continually enhance all internal and external documents, forms and templates in line with branding guidelines

Job Requirements:

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, minimum 5 years of which should be in a management/supervisory role
Certifications related to Process Management and improvement (e.g., Lean Six Sigma), Quality & Excellence (e.g., ISO, EFQM), or knowledge management (e.g., CKM) are a plus
Bachelor Degree in any field

Master’s Degree is preferred

Manager, Strategic PMO

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Oversee and manage the portfolio of programmes, projects and initiatives in alignment with Daman’s strategic objectives and direction
Develop and champion the overall project management discipline and practices within Daman from initiation and planning through to execution and closure
Main Duties:

Standard Duties:

Develop and implement a department strategy according to the company strategy, set departmental and operational goals and initiate measures to reach these goals and to improve the overall department performance
Lead the performance management process that measures and evaluates progress against departmental goals
Responsible for a result-oriented management and development of people and resources, including provision of a strong day-to-day leadership presence involving resource allocation, monitoring, reporting, and conducting regular staff meetings
Manage the department expenditure and requirements, keeping in mind its impact and utilisation on the financial budget
Foster organisational culture by establishing quality awareness, service orientation, and implementing and complying with processes
Initiate, develop, implement and ensure adherence to policies and procedures
Promote and support the recruitment and development of UAE Nationals to significantly contribute to Daman’s strategic goals

Department-specific Duties:

Work with the Director Corporate Strategy, Daman C-Levels and other key stakeholders to define and maintain the governance model, mandate and structures surrounding project and portfolio management in Daman
Support and manage decision-making by Daman leadership on all new project proposals and ongoing projects, as well as the overall portfolio
Develop, maintain and operate project and portfolio prioritisation methodologies, tools and practices
Review and assess programme and project proposals for alignment to strategic objectives, deliverability, resourcing, governance and management
