Oman Oil Company Exploration & Production LLC (OOCEP) is currently seeking to appoint a Contracts Specialist for a major operated asset. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, this key role will be based in Muscat.
Skill & Experience Required
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or Business • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Contracts administrator, ideally in Oil & Gas projects, • A high level of competence is required in the use MS Office suite. • Able to lead discussions credibly and effectively negotiate claims resolutions. • Previous experience working with a diversified workforce, with good people skills • Willing to travel internationally. Must be prepared to spend extended durations at the various contract work sites (both internationally and within Oman.) • Must be fluent in English and be an effective communicator both orally and in writing. • A well-developed intellectual capacity and the ability to communicate and contribute in open forum with management are essential. • Computer skills in general, especially MS Office (Excel, Word) • Good communications skills • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy • Analytical and problem solving skills
Oman Oil Company Exploration & Production LLC (OOCEP) is currently seeking to appoint a Account Payable & Costs Supervisor for a major operated asset. Reporting to the Accounting Team Lead, this key role will be based in Muscat
Skill & Experience Required
Minimum experience • Minimum B.sc in Finance or Accounting. Preferably additional qualification ACCA/CIMA/CPA/M.sc Finance • 10 years’ work experience, of which 5 years’ in upstream oil & gas, preferably in Operator and Non-Operator Block roles • Exposure to IFRS Personal skills • Role model in leadership behaviours. • Experienced team leader and coach, able to effectively develop staff. • Change enabler. • Effective communicator. • Able to effectively assimilate, analyse and present complex information. • Able to handle conflict and changing timelines. Technical skills • Good of understanding of accounting for all stages of the E&P business process, including planning & budgeting, preparation of financial statements, partner statement preparation and commercial matters. • Well versed in IFRS interpretation and application in the E&P sector. • Exposure to development and delivery of finance controls and processes. • Effective at planning and delivering complex tasks. • Proficient in leveraging financial systems. Exposure to Oracle and Hyperion an advantage.
