VAT Billing Manager – Dubai, HQ

Planning and organisation
  1. End to end accountability for timely execution of all VAT refund calculation.
  2. Pre and Post validation of VAT OCC / Adjustment upload in Billing.
  3. Provide pro-active and re-active support to all areas of the business, with a particular focus on VAT related queries.
  4. Be primary point of contact and provide subject matter expertise to cross functional teams on VAT billing from a business perspective.
 
Financial excellence (Budgets, revenue/profit and costs)
  1.  Accountable and responsible for achieving company’s objective of minimizing customer impact by performing correct VAT refund.
Customer excellence (Internal/external customer engagement and relationship management)
  1. Responsible to highlight to the management critical incidences impacting customer experience or resulting in non-compliance to policy where appropriate
  2. Define and measure customer service standards for the teams in collaboration with the company’s service level agreements and KPIs
  3. Build strong and collaborative relationships with internal stake holders
 
Process excellence (Operational efficiency and risk management)
  1. Responsible for definition, design and implementation of any appropriate refund as per VAT Law in billing for all Postpaid customers.
Minimum experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Billing Operations / Revenue Assurance role in Telecom / IT / Bank industry
Minimum education:
  •  Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
Knowledge and skills:
  • MS SQL
  • Unix
  • MS Office ( Excel / Access – Expert)
  • Previous working knowledge of working with BSCS and Siebel
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Strong communication/negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and business writing skills

Senior Accountant Fixed Assets & Inventory – Dubai, HQ

  1. Prepare and conduct accurate analysis & recording of Mass Additions on daily basis to ensure that no new additions posted by AP will be pending at the end of each month.
  2. Post and review the mass addition done by the Fixed Assets Accountant to ensure proper asset’s allocation on a weekly basis & ensuring that information provided in the batches are properly recorded.  
  3. Prepare monthly analysis, review and follow up on the status of CIP (Construction in Process) projects to ensure timely capitalization of assets.
  4. Participate in month-end close processes for the fixed assets, ensuring accounts are closed accurately and on timely manner.
  5. Prepare monthly closing reports & schedules for submission to senior management for final review.
  6. Assist in the preparation and reviewing of Asset Write-off documents and updating in Fixed Assets Register.
  7. Perform reconciliation for fixed assets accounts on monthly basis between the fixed assets register and the General ledger and reporting findings to management.
  8. Handling all external auditors’ requirements during quarter closings.
  9. Recommends reclassification and creation of new asset category to make sure that assets are correctly presented in the fixed asset register which will ensure correctness of their amortization and depreciation.
  10. Conducts asset Impairment review and verification on a Quarterly basis to ensure that each project or asset are properly treated in our financial records.
  11. Handel the creation of location request of our technical team/Move Order Team/Implementation engineers. Coordinate with the technology to create new locations for new projects
  12. Work closely with the technology departments to understand the newly acquired technologies, allocation of assets to multiple projects and reflect this in assets register systems and reporting
  13. Handel business unit’s ad hoc requirements related to fixed assets
Minimum experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience  in  telecom  industry
  • Good understanding of Accounting principles and International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Knowledge and handling Oracle ERP system.
Minimum education:
  •  Minimum Bachelor degree in Accounting
Knowledge and skills:
  • Good understanding of financial topics.
  • International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Knowledge is required
